I apologize for taking so long to post our newly accepted authors, my life has been a little bit crazy recently. However, I am pleased to welcome Aryanna and gracekwithwings as the newest authors to our site! Please be sure to stop by and check out their stories!

The time for a new submission period is almost here! If you would like to become an author here, our submission process is very simple, we will be having an open submission period from October 19th through November 1st. Please read our Submission Guidelines CAREFULLY, anything that does not conform to our rules will be immediately disqualified. Then send your work to ~artsubs@thehostlibrary.com~ or ~storysubs@thehostlibrary.com~. (Anything sent BEFORE or AFTER the open submission period will be automatically deleted.) Sometime in November, we will send out notices to all of the accepted authors/artists. Please note that you are either accepted as an author or an artist, not within both categories, unless you submit work and are accepted in both categories.

As a sidenote, we are still working on all the story submissions, since we had quite a few, it will take a little bit more time to go through them all. However, we should have them up soon.

The admins decided that since we cannot compete in the Flash Fic contest, we would make a special edition series to post our flash fics. These are all good examples of what a flash fic should be like. Feel free to read and review.

The Host Library is pleased to announce its first flash fiction contest. The rules are as follows:



1. All submissions may be no longer than 500 words.



2. All submissions must be based on the excerpt of The Host found on Stephenie Meyer's website.



3. Submissions must be sent to admin@thehostlibrary.com no later than 12 AM EST on April 15th.



The winning stories will be posted in The Library on April 20th!
